The family room never seems to have enough seating. Now, you can add storage ottomans that look like a mini indoor bench, and that double as storage. Remove the seat, and use the space inside to store a throw blanket, books and magazines, coasters, and whatever else your family deems as essential for everyday life. Other benches come with upholstered seats that reverse to trays, so you can use that indoor bench as either seating or a coffee table.
Indoor benches are great for bedrooms too. In a childs bedroom a bench can double as a toy box or can be placed under a window as a window seat for reading. In the master, a bench works well at the end of the bed. There are some really great interior benches to choose from for the master, including those designed in the Oriental, Greek or Egyptian styles. These provide you with a nice place to get dressed in the morning.
Accessories While a bench is an accessory in itself, sometimes you may also wish to liven up the space even more with some accessories. Soft cushions or pillows can add some additional color to a bench, and they can make any bench become comfortable. If you are positive that you want to incorporate specific colors into the bench, then there is a very good chance that you will need to purchase cushions and pillows for it. Just remember that cushions and pillows are a great way to add even more personality to a bench.
First lets discuss: What is a room? Basically its an enclosed space. There are walls, a ceiling and a floor, some windows and a few doors. Even if your house has an open floor plan where you have one or two large interconnected rooms, rather than a series of smaller rooms, there are areas within those large rooms that are partially enclosed, not with walls, but with elements like decorative screens, potted plants, or bookshelves. This sense of being enclosed, thus protected, is what makes a room comfortable to be in. There are other things that bring a feeling of comfort but they are secondary to this primary sense of enclosure.
Storage - pieces such as the lingerie chests, blanket racks, vanity tables and the regular dresser and chest of drawers. There are sometimes seating such as a bed bench that allows you to store items such as bedding inside, so they serve two purposes. For displays - bedside tables, vanity tables and sometimes bed benches are all used to display things such as pictures, lamps, and other little trinkets.
